Ed Crain“I was not able to complete a round of golf in the months prior to my ablation because I would get so fatigued.  Now I can play a full 18 and some days 36 holes without a problem.” - Ed Crain

Ruth Wade is a retired Infection Control Nurse who worked at Central Florida Regional Hospital for 39 years.

Both of these people were Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) patients at Central Florida Regional Hospital’s Electrophysiology Lab.  A-Fib is an irregular heart beat that may eventually lead to a stroke.  The Electrophysiology Lab offers patients a diagnostic procedure to look more closely at the electrical function of their heart.  It is the most accurate and reliable method of evaluating heart rhythms and helps physicians determine the treatment option that is most appropriate.

Ruth WadeEd and Ruth had ablation therapy – a technique designed to treat irregular patterns and possibly eliminate the need for medications.  Now Ed is swinging his golf club again and Ruth is able to keep up her swimming exercises.
