Emergency Care

Emergency Room in Sanford

Our ER provides greater Sanford and Seminole County with 24 hour emergency care. We offer care for a range of injuries and sicknesses, including treatment for high fever, heart attack and stroke. Our doctors, nurses and staff are trained to deliver exceptional care in emergency situations.

If you think you may be experiencing a medical emergency, immediately call your doctor or 911.

Emergency Room Fast Track

Fast track allows our ER to provide service to patients with minor emergencies in a timely fashion. The fast track system sorts and places in an order to be seen. Normally patients within the fast track system are seen by a doctor within 60 minutes.

Primary Stroke Center

Our facility is an accredited Joint Commission Certified Advanced Stroke Center. This means that our ER is in compliance with standards set in place to deliver safe, stable care for patients in need of stroke treatment.

Chest Pain Center

If you or someone you know experiences a heart attack, our emergency room is equipped to provide the utmost care. Our physicians and nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and our Chest Pain Center provides patients with immediate heart care. In fact, we have partnered with the Seminole County Emergency Medical Services system to treat patients with cardiac problems faster. Our goal is to expedite the process by getting patients from the door to the cath lab table in 60 minutes or less.

Our Chest Pain Center has been awarded with:

  • Accredited Chest Pain Center (CPC) with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care
  • “Top 100 Hospital - Cardiovascular” award winner
