Primary Stroke Center
Central Florida Regional Hospital is a Joint Commission Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization, which accredits and certifies more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States.
Chest Pain Center
Chest pain is one of the Emergency Department’s (ED) top ten diagnoses. Central Florida Regional Hospital has received the following accolades and awards:
- Accredited Chest Pain Center (CPC) with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care
- “Top 100 Hospital - Cardiovascular” award winner
To increase our Emergency Team’s readiness, the hospital has established a community initiative with the Seminole County EMS system to treat patients with cardiac problems faster.
Our goal, for patients who meet the criteria for cath lab intervention, is to get a patient from the door to the cath lab table for balloon angioplasty within 60 minutes.
The emergency room includes Fast Track for minor emergencies and is staffed by physicians and nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac life Support (ACLS) for major emergencies.
